Doughty-backed Avanza acquires two new concessions

Doughty Hanson transport business, Grupo Avanza has made two acquisitions previously managed by Grupo Trapsa.

The new concessions operate 156 buses that run in the southern outskirts of Madrid, linking the city with the towns of Getafe and Parla.

Based in Madrid, Avanza was founded in 2002 from the merger of sector companies Auto Res, Vitrasa and Tuzsa with La Sepulvedana. It was acquired by Doughty Hanson in January 2007.
