MTI Partners has invested £1m into pest control provider Exosect, as part of a £2.2m funding round.

WHEB Venture Partners, Oxford Capital Partners, Hygea VCT and Entrepreneurs Fund Managment also participated in the round.

Exosect's products help growers, food manufacturers and processors to actively reduce their use of pesticides. The company is launching a new moth control product for the food production sector, expected to be available in the UK from 2010. Exosect was founded in 2001, having received £5m worth of funding since that time.
