
Dunedin's CitySprint buys The Courier Service
CitySprint, backed by private equity house Dunedin, has bought parcel delivery service business The Courier Service.
All of The Courier Service's activities and services will be fully merged with CitySprint.
The acquisition was CitySprint's 10th add-on since it was backed by Dunedin in 2010. CitySprint notably bought Sameday UK in March this year.
Dunedin has completed 18 portfolio acquisitions since 2011 to grow its portfolio businesses. The GP typically invests £20m or more in the companies it backs.
Company
The Courier Service, founded in Enfield, was family-run until bought by CitySprint. It offers parcel deliveries and collection courier services, both nationwide and internationally.

Patrick Gallagher is CEO of CitySprint. Nicol Fraser is a partner at Dunedin and a CitySprint board member. Denise Fresco was managing director at The Courier Service.
