
PAI sells 9% Atos stake
PAI Partners has sold a 9% stake in Atos SE, the listed French IT services provider, for a total of €581.9m.
PAI sold 9.2 million shares at €63.25 each. The GP now has a stake of less than 1% in Atos.
The sale was carried out through an accelerated bookbuild via the holding company Financière Daunou 17. Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas managed the bookbuilding process.
Atos is listed on the Euronext Paris under the ticker "ATO".
Previous investment
PAI acquired a 17.9% stake in Atos (then Atos Origin) in July 2008 in a deal valued at €450m. The firm bought 5 million shares at €39 each, according to unquote" data, alongside a debt package provided by BNP Paribas.
PAI invested via its €2.7bn PAI Europe V fund. According to unquote" data, the firm was a founding shareholder of Atos when it was created around the early 90s through the merger of Axime and Sligos. It wholly owned Atos until the company listed. It also oversaw Atos's merger with Origin in 2000.
