Gimv and Capricorn inject €4.2m into NovoPolymers
Gimw and Capricorn have invested a further €4.2m of growth capital funding in their portfolio company NovoPolymers, a Belgian polymer films producer.
The fresh funds will allow NovoPolymers to expand its Belgian plant, which should enable it to double its production capacity. In addition, the company will further strengthen its organisation and capital.
The investors already co-led a €3m series-A round of funding for the company in 2009, which enabled it to market its first products.
Based in Antwerp and founded in 2008, NovoPolymers focuses on developing and producing polymer films that are used for laminating breakable solar cells and protect them from environmental damage.
