NPM hires new investment manager
Benelux firm NPM Capital has hired Piet Hein van Niekerk as an investment manager.
Since selling his own company to PTT Post in 2000, van Niekerk has been working as an adviser and informal investor. He advises on sell-side international mergers and acquisitions.
He is also on the jury of New Venture, a Dutch foundation established to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. The organisation holds a competition every year for start-ups. New Venture was established by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and consultancy firm McKinsey & Company.
Until recently, van Niekerk was also a director at Floramedia, a Netherlands-headquartered communications firm for horticultural and "green living" multimedia.
