
AnaCap closes second fund on EUR575m

London-based buyout house AnaCap Financial Partners has closed its second fund, AnaCap Financial Partners II, on EUR575m - almost twice the size of its predecessor, which closed on EUR300m in 2006. The average size of commitments was EUR25m. Ashurst provided legal advice.

LPs in the fund include Goldman Sachs, Allianz, Honeywell, Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners, Adams Street Partners and the State of New Jersey.
Investments
The new vehicle will focus on making controlling investments of between EUR40-150m in mid-sized financial services companies across Europe. AnaCap invests in sectors such as mortgage products, small-medium enterprise loans, insurance, factoring, healthcare receivables, debt collections, consumer credit, auto loans and asset management. AnaCap has recently completed the acquisition of UK deposit-taking institution Ruffler Bank from its two funds.
