
Vendis Capital backs Hypo Wholesale
Vendis Capital has taken a majority stake in Dutch equestrian equipment wholesaler Hypo Wholesale.
The fresh equity will be used to drive the company's growth.
The sales process was led by Livingstone Partners. ING Acquisition Finance provided debt for the deal. Jeroen van Strien and Laurens Koelewijn represented ING.
Company
Hypo Wholesale is a supplier of equestrian fashion and equipment for both horses and riders. The company was founded in 1985 by Steef Duijndam and is headquartered in The Hague.
The main brands it carries are HV Polo and euro-star. Most of its clients are located in Europe.
In 2012, the company acquired Nederinum/Imperial Riding, a Dutch wholesaler operating in the same field and specialising in hardware products.

Michiel Deturck, partner, led the deal on behalf of Vendis Capital. He was supported by Willem van Aelten, partner, and Arjan Elderhorst, investment manager. Steef Duijndam and Jan Willem de Lange represented Hypo Wholesale in the negotiations.
