Karmijn backs Tuvalu MBO
Karmijn Kapitaal has acquired a minority stake in Tuvalu Media, a Dutch television and film production company, as part of a management buyout that saw Sony Pictures Television exit the business.
Tuvalu's management bought out Sony's 60% stake with support from Karmijn. The company's management acquired the majority of the stake and now has majority control of the company overall. Sony acquired its stake in Tuvalu in 2008.

At the beginning of November, Karmijn co-founder and partner Cilian Jansen Verplanke spoke exclusively to unquote" about the final closing of the firm's maiden fund, Karmijn Kapitaal I, on €50m.
The fund is unique in that it invests only in companies with diverse management teams, namely teams that are at least 25% female. The firm typically provides equity tickets of €2-7.5m for deals ranging in value from €5-50m.
