Kebek acquires Belgian business Mifratel
Belgian buyout firm Kebek Private Equity has acquired Mifratel, a Belgian contact centre operator, alongside the company’s management.
Kebek acquired its stake in the company from Mifratel founder Kristel D'Hondt and investment firm Arkafund, which bought a 49% stake in the business in 2008.
Kebek has acquired a stake of more than 90% in the company.
The deal was sourced on a proprietary basis. Under Kebek's ownership, Mifratel plans on opening a third branch in Belgium and expanding its overseas operations.
The deal marks the second transaction completed by Kebek since it acquired a portfolio of eight companies from KBC Private Equity in December 2012. At the end of January this year, the firm acquired Belgian chemical solutions distributor Alphamin.
Strombeek-Bever-based Kebek is a small-cap private equity firm that typically invests €2-10m in companies generating revenues of €10-75m and EBITDA of €1.5-10m. The firm's fund is backed by funds-of-funds LGT Capital Partners and Five Arrows Managers.
Debt
A debt facility for the transaction was provided by KBC Bank.

Founded in 2002, Mifratel is headquartered in Ghent with an additional office in Mouscron. The company employs 210 staff and has doubled its revenues over the last three years, recording €19m in turnover last year.
