Abris backs Masterlease MBO
Central and Eastern Europe private equity investor Abris Capital Partners has backed the management buyout of Polish fleet management company Masterlease Polska. No financial details have been disclosed.
The deal was signed after 12 months of negotiations with vendor GMAC - the US financial services group part-owned by General Motors - which bought the company in 2001.
Abris believes that the sector has strong growth opportunities, as it remains relatively undeveloped compared to Western markets.
Masterlease was established in 1995 by Grzegorz Waluszewski and Jerzy Kobyliński to provide vehicle leasing services to corporate clients. The company currently operates a fleet of over 24,000 vehicles.
