
Syntaxis finances Expert Petroleum MBO
CEE-focused mezzanine provider Syntaxis Capital has financed the founder’s buyout of Expert Petroleum.
Capital was invested via Syntaxis's second mezzanine vehicle. Alongside funds from the founders, the investment from Syntaxis will be used to develop the company's activities in Romania and internationally.

Based in Romania, Expert Petroleum is an oil and gas services businesses that works with owners and operators to increase production on marginal and mature fields. The business specialises in introducing new technologies and lean operating practices, as well as human resource management in order to improve efficiencies.

Aleksander Majewski is a director at Syntaxis and responsible for the deal. Syntaxis partner Thomas Spring also worked on the transaction. David Martinon is co-founder and CEO of Expert Petroleum.
