
Mid Europa buys Teresa Fryda Laboratory
Mid Europa Partners has acquired Dr. n. med. Teresa Fryda Laboratorium Medyczne Sp. Z o.o. (“Fryda”) as part of its plans to consolidate the Polish laboratory market.
The transaction was carried out through newco Polska Grupa Laboratoriów Medycznych Sp. Z o.o ("Polska Grupa Laboratoriów").
Investment will support Fryda's expansion in the Polish laboratory market, following Polska Grupa Laboratoriów's acquisition of a strategic stake in laboratory services provider Diagnostyka Sp. Z o.o. ("Diagnostyka") in January this year.
Company
Established in 1989, Fryda offers laboratory diagnostics services to hospitals, private clinics and individuals. In 2010, the company performed around 10 million tests in over 30 laboratories across Poland. Fryda has around 200 staff specialising in microbiology and medical analysis.

Pawel Padusińki is a director at Mid Europa Partners and led the transaction alongside Jan Krzewiński. Teresa Fryda is founder and CEO of Fryda. Jakub Swadźba is co-founder of Diagnostyka.
