
Mid Europa’s Walmark bolts on Sinulan
Mid Europa Partners-backed Walmark, a Czech Republic-based dietary supplements manufacturer, has acquired Sinulan Forte from Polish pharmaceutical company Novascon Pharmaceuticals.
The acquisition comprises the range of products marketed under the Sinulan brand.
Mid Europa acquired a 50% stake in Walmark in July 2012 via its Mid Europa Fund III, which closed on €1.5bn in May 2007.
At the time of the acquisition, Mid Europa director Michelle Capiod told unquote" that, following the buyout, Walmark would pursue add-on acquisitions to expand internationally and bolster its product portfolio.
Walmark was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Třinec, Czech Republic, with an additional office in Prague. The company develops dietary supplements and exports to Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and the Baltic states.

Sinulan manufactures sinus and upper respiratory products for the Polish food supplements market. Its parent company, Novascon, was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Warsaw.
