Finaccess buys 32% AmRest stake from Warburg Pincus
Mexican GP Finaccess has acquired a 31.71% stake in listed Polish fast-food restaurant franchise AmRest Holdings from US private equity outfit Warburg Pincus.
Warburg Pincus's exit comes five years after it acquired its shareholding in AmRest, paying €79.2m for a 31.71% stake in 2010. The GP announced in July that the business had been put up for sale.
AmRest's current market cap on the Warsaw stock exchange is around €880m, with the market price of Warburg Pincus's 6,726,790 shares just shy of €280m – though the actual transaction price is likely to have been different.
