Iris invests €8m in MCI
Iris Capital has invested €8m in Swiss marketing agency MCI.
The private equity investor was attracted by MCI's position in the events management market. It also believes that the sector offers interesting consolidation opportunities, and that it is likely to grow rapidly in emerging countries going forward.
Founded in 1987, MCI is a communication and events management company based in Geneva. It advises its clients in the fields of association management, performance improvement, professional congress organisation (PCO), and meetings & events. The group currently employs 950 people across 44 offices worldwide.
The company will use the fresh funds to accelerate its ongoing acquisition strategy.
