
AWS Gründerfonds completes funding round in VisoCon
AWS Gründerfonds has joined existing investors eQventures, i4g and tecnet equity in a funding round for video conferencing company VisoCon.
The company will use the fresh capital to expand internationally and to develop solutions for scalable niche products in the area of video conferencing.
AWS was founded at the start of 2013 on behalf of the Ministry for Science, Research and Economics and the Ministry for Finance in Austria. The fund holds €65m in capital and usually invests between €100,000-3m.
i4g is a Vienna-based private equity firm that manages capital for family offices and private foundations. The GP mainly invests in technology companies. Meanwhile, tecnet is Lower Austria's regional technology investment fund, and also provides support for patent and technology exploitation.

Company
Founded in 2010, VisoCon provides a cloud-based video conferencing solution. The company focuses on three areas: video conferencing software, video terminals that use a touch-screen monitor and VisoCon-Inside for B2B collaborative use.
The founders of VisoCon originally worked in air traffic communication solutions. The company is headquartered in Graz and has a sales office in Klosterneuburg. It processes local and international webcasts and video conferences.
