
Astorg sells Geoservices to Schlumberger
Astorg Partners has sold French oil-field services firm Geoservices to Schlumberger in a deal valuing the company at $1.07bn.
Closing is still subject to approval by regulatory authorities.
Founded in 1958 by geologist Gaston Rebilly, Geoservices provides oil-field services. It is a specialist in mud‐logging and also active in slickline and production monitoring operations.
The company has a network in 52 countries and employs more than 5,000 people. Last year it reported revenues of $491m.
