Idinvest et al. invest $7m in Scality
Idinvest Partners has led a $7m series-B round of financing for French technology company Scality.
Existing shareholders Crédit Agricole Private Equity and Galiléo Partners also participated in the round – both investors previously contributed $3.7m to the series-A round of funding in June 2010. Scality CEO Jérôme Lecat invested in both rounds.
Scality will now look to open a new office in New York and has begun to develop new functionality for its platform.
Paris-based Scality is a provider of scalable storage platform software solutions – it was establsihed by the former management of Bizanga, following its acquisition by Cloudmark in February 2010.
Its product can be deployed to enable email solutions for cable and telecom operators, or as a system to enable and grow cloud storage services for hosting providers or other storage-intensive services.
