ACG acquires Viveris Management
ACG Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in Viveris Management from its founders and Caisse d’Epargne Provence-Alpes-Corse (CEPAC), which will retain a minority stake. Financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.
The acquisition is part of ACG's consolidation strategy which began in March 2011 with the acquisition of Gimar Capital Investissement, followed by the takeover of Sigma Gestion in September and IPSA in December. ACG's consolidation strategy aims to increase its assets under management in both funds-of-funds and its own vehicles. The Viveris takeover brings the total amount in ACG's direct funds to over €900m.
Established in 2000, Viveris Management focuses on venture capital and growth capital investments and LBOs in SMEs not listed on the stock market based in the South of France, overseas territories Reunion Island and New Caledonia as well as Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey. Viveris currently has €579m under management across 43 investment vehicles, has stakes in 135 portfolio companies and employs 49 members of staff.
The transaction does not affect the management of Financière Viveris, Viveris Emerging Markets, Viveris Amorçage and Viveris Infrastructures, which are to remain under the direction of Viveris Management.
