Partech hires Godron as senior associate

Partech Ventures has reinforced its Paris seed team with the addition of Aster Capital’s Claire Godron as senior associate.
As part of her appointment, Godron will come on board Partech's seed unit in Paris, which currently features general partner Romain Lavault and principal Boris Golden. Over the past few months, the team has worked on the $4.5m seed round for camera designer Giroptic and a €1.2m injection into healthcare advisory service MesDocteurs, among others.
Godron's career started at the Vietnam office of corporate Schneider Electric, where she focused on commercial and marketing duties as an intern in 2011. In 2012, she left the company for Aster, a VC with headquarters in Europe that seeks energy, advanced materials, smart transportation and internet-of-things companies. Over the following four years, she helped source deals and oversaw Aster's team of analysts as a senior associate.
The addition of a new professional to Partech's Paris ranks comes four months after the firm reinforced its German operations. In mid-October 2015, the VC recruited French national Olivier Schuepbach as partner at the Berlin office, shortly after backing rounds for German online marketplace Chronext and digital insurance manager GetSafe.
