Isai invests €2m in Hospimedia
Isai Gestion has injected €2m into French medical information website Hospimedia, in what marks the first investment from its latest fund.
Isai is understood to have secured a stake of around 33% in Hospimedia, investing via the Isai Expansion vehicle. The firm's second FCPR fund reached a €30m first close in June last year and is targeting to ultimately raise €40m.
Isai was particularly attracted by the underlying strength of the healthcare market in France, which accounts for 12% of GDP, according to the investor. Hospimedia will look to drive its growth both organically and through strategic acquisitions – Isai stated it was ready to inject additional capital to fund these in due course.
Company
Established in Lille in 2001, the Hospimedia group publishes the healthcare-focused information website hospimedia.fr, targeting an audience of healthcare professionals. Hospimedia also publishes two recruitment websites serving the healthcare and social-work industries.
Hospimedia employs 28 people and generates a €3m turnover.
People
Pierre Martini and Guillaume Monin led the deal on behalf of Isai.
