Siparex makes 5x on Manuloc exit
Siparex has sold its stake in French logistics business Manuloc to existing backer CM-CIC Capital Finance after more than 10 years as a minority shareholder.
Siparex reaped a multiple close to 5x its original investment in the business. The GP had been invested in Manuloc since 2002 via its Siparex MidMarket I fund in order to support the company's organic and acquisitive growth strategy.
The group notably acquired forklifts distributor Philippe Manutention from Perfectis Private Equity in 2010.
CM-CIC Capital Finance is also a long-standing supporter of Manuloc: the GP first backed the company in 2000, before a follow-on investment in 2010.
Company
Established in 1964, Manuloc provides industrial customers with handling equipment, such as forklifts, through both direct sale and leasing. The company operates through 45 offices and employs 1,200 people.
Manuloc is based in Metz and generates a €300m turnover.
People
Benoît Métais led the deal for Siparex. Catherine Barthélémy is CEO of Manuloc.
