Parquest buys 5 Santé from Fontalvie
Parquest Capital has acquired four clinics from healthcare group Fontalvie, forming the 5 Santé platform.
The GP has acquired two businesses, Cliniques du Souffle and Clinique Val Pyrene (totalling four establishments) from Fontalvie. The vendor has faced difficulties in recent months and was placed under France's 'safeguard procedure' regime at the beginning of 2015.
The firm is understood to have secured a majority stake in the newly created group – dubbed 5 Santé – while management will retain a minority stake.
5 Santé will now look to develop its offering, notably by investing in R&D, while additional acquisitions will also be explored to keep building up the goup.
ING Parcom Private Equity span out from its parent firm Parcom Capital to become Parquest Capital in April 2014, and now manages a new fund with €300m in capital. The firm can supply equity tickets of up to €50m in transactions.
Company
Based in Perpignan, 5 Santé manages four clinics that can host up to 300 patients. These centres specialise in follow-up treatment for patients suffering from chronic diseases, with a particular focus on respiratory conditions.
5 Santé employs 300 staff and generates turnover of €27m.
People
Denis Le Chevallier, Laurence Bouttier and Vincent Warlop worked on the deal for Parquest.
