Argos Soditic supports SBO of Talentia from Fondations et al.
Argos Soditic has acquired a majority stake in French performance management software business Talentia Software from previous backers Fondations Capital and Women Equity Partners.
The deal is believed to be worth in the region of €100m and will see management strengthening its stake, following a first MBO in 2011. Idinvest supported the deal with a unitranche facility, having previously provided mezzanine in support of the company's 2011 buyout.
Fondations Capital (then CIC LBO Partners) backed the initial management buyout of French software business Lefebvre Software, alongside Women Equity Partners. The business was later renamed Talentia.
The deal was intermediated by corporate finance house Bryan Garnier & Co, which has also overseen several acquisitions for the company over the years and was mandated by Fondations and Women Equity to handle the latest sale process.
At the time of the 2011 MBO, Talentia aimed to post a €100m turnover within the next five years – up from €40m at the time – according to unquote" data. That goal has not yet been met, with revenues nevertheless growing by 35% to settle at €54m in 2014.
Argos intends to continue driving that growth in several ways: an immediate focus on bolstering R&D efforts, increasing the sales presence in key international markets and pursuing an acquisitive growth strategy.
Argos Soditic's buyout investments are usually financed via its Euroknights VI fund, which closed on its €400m hard-cap in late 2010, according to unquote" data.
