
Bridgepoint makes EUR162m offer for Terveystalo
Bridgepoint has launched a cash offer for listed Finnish healthcare provider Terveystalo Healthcare Oyj, valuing the company at EUR162m. Bridgepoint made the offer via Star Healthcare Oy, a newly-established limited liability company wholly-owned by Bridgepoint Europe IV.
The offer price of EUR2.00 per share represents a premium of approximately 203% compared to the closing price on 16 January. Bridgepoint has received acceptances from shareholders representing 51.8% of the shares, including the mutual insurance pension companies Ilmarinen and Varma, which hold a 14% stake each.
Helsinki-based Terveystalo was founded in 2001 and currently has over a hundred units, including 15 private clinic hospitals. It is listed on NASDAQ OMX Helsinki.
