Verdane Capital acquires Eqvitec’s Fund III
Secondary specialist Verdane Capital has acquired Eqvitec Technology Fund III from Eqvitec.
The acquisition was made through the investor's fund, Verdane Capital VII. This transaction was initiated after Verdane successfully completed the acquisition of Eqvitec Technology Fund II in November 2010. The recently acquired fund has a portfolio of 12 companies and will now be renamed Verdane ETF III SPV K/S.
Verdane has taken over management of the fund while the majority of current investors have retained their interest in the fund. Eqvitec, which raised the €140m fund in 2006, will remain active in some ETF III portfolio companies. This transaction also completes the transformation of Eqvitec into an asset holding company.
