
DFJ Esprit et al. back M-Files Corporation
DFJ Esprit and Finnish Industry Investment have injected €6m into M-Files Corporation, a technology start-up based in Finland.
The fresh capital, which constitutes a series-A funding round for the business, will be used to accelerate M-Files' US expansion plans, while focusing on compliance in select vertical industries.

M-Files' enterprise content management (ECM) solutions are designed to help businesses manage, secure and share information. Businesses in more than 100 countries use M-Files on-premises, in the cloud or in so-called hybrid environments (a combination of the two).
Companies using M-Files include AstraZeneca, SAS and EADS, Pandora, United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Northrop Grumman Corporation, Charles Schwab, Hecla Mining and Elekta.

Stuart Chapman is a managing partner at DFJ. Miika Mäkitalo is the CEO of M-Files. Jim Geary, Bob Suh and Mikko Suonenlahti of DFJ have joined the company's board of directors.
