
Ratos increases ownership in Jøtul
Ratos has agreed to acquire additional shares in Norwegian wood stoves maker Jøtul from Accent Equity for NOK 12m.
Accent sold all the shares held via its Accent Equity 2003 Fund. Ratos meanwhile increased its stake in Jøtul from 61% to 93%. Jøtul's management owns the remaining 7%.
The acquisition is subject to approval from authorities and is expected to complete in July.
Ratos first invested in Jøtul in 2006. Prior to the transaction, Ratos and Accent were joint owners of the company, with management holding a stake as well.

Founded in 1853 and based in Fredrikstad, Jøtul is a maker of wood stoves with manufacturing facilities in Norway, Denmark, France, Poland and the US.
The company's products are sold globally through specialised wood stove stores, as well as general DIY retailers. Jøtul reported a turnover of SEK 913m and posted an EBITA loss of SEK 52m in 2012.
