
Herkules acquires majority stake in PTC
Herkules Capital has acquired a majority stake in Stavanger-based oil services firm Petroleum Technology Company (PTC).
Herkules is teaming up with the current owners in the MBO, of whom several are members of management.
As part of the transaction, Herkules is injecting NOK 120m in growth capital.
Company
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Stavanger, PTC is a developer and supplier of gas lift and wellhead integrity products, serving a broad customer portfolio including global oil companies.
PTC is expecting total turnover of NOK 200m for the year 2013. The company also has offices in Bergen, Aberdeen, Houston, Rio and Macae.

Morten Blix is a senior partner at Herkules. Erling Kleppa is co-founder and chairman of PTC.
