
Herkules acquires Elektroimportøren
Herkules has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Elektroimportøren, a Norwegian wholesaler and retailer of electrical equipment.
The deal, which will see Herkules acquire majority stakes in Elektroimportøren and subsidiary Namron via its fourth fund, is expected to complete by the end of March 2014.
Founder and current owner Per Norman Nielsen will retain a significant minority stake.

Founded in 1994, Elektroimportøren is a full-range wholesaler and retailer of electrical equipment via three distribution channels: a store located at Alnabru in Oslo; a customer service centre targeting professional installers/electricians; and an online store.
The company also offers private label products via Namron, which provides electrical products with a focus on LED lighting, dimmers and heating.
Elektroimportøren had a turnover of close to NOK 166m in 2013 and an EBITDA of NOK 32m. The company has 33 full-time and 19 part-time employees.

Sverre Flåskjer, partner at Herkules, led the deal. Per Norman Nielsen is the founder of Elektroimportøren.
