Ratos-backed Inwido completes add-ons
Ratos-backed Inwido, a European supplier of windows and doors, has acquired Danish businesses JNA Vinduer & Døre and Spar Vinduer.
Following the deal, JNA and Spar will continue as an independent business unit within Inwido Denmark. The add-ons are in line with Inwido's strategy to pursue growth both organically and through acquisitions. The new entities are also expected to increase the company's online presence.
Ratos acquired windows and doors manufacturer Inwido in 2004 and has since grown the company through several add-on acquisitions, including Danish window supplier Pro Tec Vinduer in May 2011.
Company
JNA was founded in 1990 to produce and sell windows in Denmark. In 2006 the group was expanded with Spar Vinduer, established as a cost-effective alternative for Danish internet customers. This concept has since been launched in Norway. The companies had a combined turnover of close to DKK 155m in 2013.
People
Håkan Jeppsson is the president and CEO of Inwido. Mads Storgaard Mehlsen is the managing director of Inwido Denmark.
