
Accent exits Hööks to Alipes
Accent Equity Partners has sold its entire holding in Nordic retail company Hööks to Alipes Invest.
Following the transaction, CEO Joachim Höök will remain in his role and also retain a substantial minority stake together with the company's management, alongside new owner Alipes.
Accent acquired Hööks in February 2011 via its Accent Equity 2008 fund, which raised €380m at final close in 2007. Nordea provided a debt package to support the transaction.
Company
Established in 1931 and based in Borås, Hööks is a retailer of equestrian sports products in the Nordic region. The company posted net sales of SEK 365m in 2013. Hööks sells its products in 33 stores in Sweden, six in Norway, four in Finland and two in Denmark, and is currently opening two new stores.
