
Northzone et al. invest $3.6m in Boomlagoon
Finnish mobile games developer Boomlagoon has secured $3.6m for its series-A funding led by new investor Northzone.
Inventure and 360 Capital Partners also took part as new backers alongside existing investors London Venture Partners and business angel Jari Ovaskainen.
The company's seed funding round took place in November 2012.
The fresh capital will allow Boomlagoon to bolster its workforce and further develop its portfolio of new games, the first of which will be announced this month.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Helsinki, Boomlagoon was established by three former employees of Rovio, the Finnish developer of Angry Birds.
The mobile game developer released its debut title, Noble Nutlings, at the beginning of last year. The company currently employs eight staff.

Boomlagoon was founded by CEO Antti Stén, CCO Tuomas Erikoinen and CTO Ilkka Halila. 360 partner Fausto Boni, Northzone partner Torleif Ahlsand and Inventure partner Tuomas Kosonen worked on the deal.
