The founding partner and chairman of Gala Capital has abandoned plans to jump ship to JP Morgan after investors learned of his leaving plans in the Spanish press.
]Jaime Bergel Sainz de Baranda had been preparing to accept an offer to head up the investment bank's Middle East and Africa division when Gala LPs expressed their concern about the effect his departure could have on the private equity firm.
