
Innocenzo Cipolletta takes up Fondo Italiano presidency

Fondo Italiano di Investimento has announced its new board of directors, with Aifi's Innocenzo Cipolletta as president.
Cipolletta is expected to resign from Italy's industry association Aifi.
He will remain president of Fondo Italiano for the next three years, following his appointment by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Gabriele Cappellini remains as CEO of the fund manager.
The rest of the board comprises Cesare Buzzi Ferraris of Unicredit, professor Guido Corbetta of Bocconi University, Daniele Discepolo from Banca UPS and Anna Gervasoni, general manager of Aifi.
Giovanni Gilli of Intesa Sanpaolo, entrepreneur Federica Guidi, Anna Molinotti of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Rinaldo Ocleppo from Confindustria, ABI's Giovanni Sabatini and Domenico Santececca from Istituto Centrale delle Banche Popolari have also been appointed.
Fondo Italiano has completed 33 direct investments to date, alongside several indirect investments in private equity funds, according to unquote" data.
Cipolletta spoke to unquote" about state-backed funds at last year's annual Italia Private Equity Forum, held this year on 12 November in Milan.
