
Fondo Italiano invests €10m in Eco Eridania
Fondo Italiano d'Investimento, a public-private partnership which is backed by the Italian government, has subscribed €10m to the capital increase carried out by Eco Eridania.
As part of the deal, Fondo Italiano acquired a minority stake. It aims to support the group in constructing a new gas plant for waste disposal, creating an energy recovery plant and continuing to undertake aggregate recycling.

Headquartered in Arenzano, Genoa, Eco Eridania is active in the field of waste management, specialising in its collection, transport and storage. It disposes of medical waste (mainly from hospitals) and industrial and hazardous materials through the use of incineration plants.
The company's main customers are public bodies such as regional health authorities and hospitals, as well as clinics, nursing homes, dentists and laboratories. Founded in 1988, it employs around 150 people and has a turnover of €24m.
People
Partners Lorenzo Baraldi and Renato Salsa led the deal on behalf of Fondo Italiano. Andrea and Rossella Giustini are the founders of Eco Eridania.
