
Montezemolo acquires Bellco
Montezemolo & Partners SGR has acquired biomedical company Bellco from Argos Soditic and MPVenture.
The investment was made through the Charme II vehicle. The management team will reinvest to retain a 10% stake in the company.
Previous funding
In October 2008, Argos Soditic, MPVenture SGR and a team of 5 key managers purchased Sorin Renal Care Business (now Bellco) from parent Sorin Group. The financial details of the all-equity transaction were not disclosed. Argos Soditic acquired a 58% stake, MPVenture 32% and the balance retained by Stefano Rimondi, Mauro Atti, Mauro Aldrovandi and Fabrizio Cappi, together with Carlo Vanoli.
The new owners purchased the entire Sorin renal care business worldwide, under the brands Bellco and Laboratoire Soludia.

Based in Mirandola, Bellco was founded in 1972. The company manufactures and distributes dialyzers, fluids, machines and hematic lines for the treatment of renal pathologies. The company employs 364 members of staff.
