
Comecer acquires Veenstra
Fondo Italiano portfolio company Comecer SpA has acquired Dutch nuclear medicine technology and software firm Veenstra Instruments BV.
The acquisition will expand Comecer's product range.
In April 2011, Fondo Italiano di Investimento invested €7.5m in radiochemistry specialist Comecer in return for a minority stake of approximately 30%.
Company
Based in Joure, Veenstra develops and manufactures technology and software for nuclear medicine, radiochemistry, radio pharmacy and calibration laboratories. In 2011, the firm reported a €7m turnover.
Following the acquisition, Veenstra will continue to operate under its original brand.
