
Consilium acquires Tucano Urbano for €12m
Consilium SGR has acquired a majority stake of around 75% in Italian motorcycle clothing company Tucano Urbano for a reported €12m.
The company's founders will retain a minority stake in the firm.
The capital injection will underpin the international expansion of the company and the consolidation of its presence in the French, Spanish and UK markets.
Consilium invested through the Consilium Private Equity Fund, which holds €150m and seeks to invest in small and medium-sized Italian businesses.

Founded in 1999 and based near Milan, Tucano Urbano designs and manufactures clothing and accessories primarily for motorcycle and scooter riders. The company's products include leg covers, waterproof clothing, gloves and other accessories. Tucano Urbano reports an annual turnover of around €16m.
