
AXA PE buys 70% stake in Bruni Glass
AXA Private Equity has acquired a 70% stake in Italian glass containers producer Bruni Glass.
The management team and founding members reinvested to retain a 30% stake in the company.
The GP will support the international expansion of the firm and its acquisitive strategy.
Company
Established in 1974 and headquartered in Milan, Bruni Glass produces glass containers for wine, champagne, food and pharmaceutical products.
The firm is present in the Italian cities Turin and Verona as well as the US and Canada, where it markets its range of more than 3,000 products. In 2011, the company reported a turnover of more than €108m, almost 60% of which originated abroad.
