Ambienta sells Tower Light
Italian environmental investor Ambienta has sold lighting tower producer Tower Light to listed US-based generator manufacturer Generac.
Ambienta bought an 82% stake in the business in February 2012 for €13.5m as part of a leveraged buyout. The transaction was completed through Ambienta I, which closed on €217.5m in 2009.
The acquisition of Tower Light was designed to expand Generac's product offering and geographical reach outside the US. Tower Light's management team will continue to lead the company under the Tower Light brand.

Headquartered outside Milan and founded in 1996, Tower Light produces and distributes energy-efficient lighting towers for construction and other applications. The company provides a temporary lighting solution for the construction and maintenance of infrastructure, but also for airports, ports and events.
Tower Light supplies products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The firm has a distribution network in more than 50 countries and employs around 100 staff. Sales for 2012 totalled approximately €37m – a €7m increase on 2011 figures.
