Archimed takes minority stake in Primo
Healthcare-focused GP Archimed has acquired a minority stake in Italian dental group Primo via an all-equity transaction.
Following completion of the deal, Primo will look to expand its presence across Italy both through new stores and bolt-on acquisitions.
The announcement comes on the same day Archimed revealed it had acquired a majority stake in RehabWorks, a UK-based provider of healthcare associated with occupational injuries.
The GP held a €150m final close for its 2013-vintage vehicle Med I FIA in June, surpassing its €120m target.
The Primo deal was sourced on an off-market basis, according to the GP.
Company
Founded in 2010, Primo is a dental clinic group focusing on high-street locations. The company stated its turnover increased by around 50% in the most recent financial year.
