Graphite Capital buys Teaching Personnel from RJD Partners
Graphite Capital has backed the £45m secondary buyout of teacher recruitment specialist Teaching Personnel from RJD Partners.
Graphite acquired a significant majority stake and the management team re-invested a substantial proportion of its proceeds in the business.
RJD backed the £24m management buyout of the company from Barclays Private Equity in July 2007. This is the first exit for RJD's second fund, RJD Private Equity Fund II, giving the firm a 3x return on its original investment.
Teaching Personnel supplies teachers, teaching assistants and nursery nurses to 4,000 primary and secondary schools in England and Wales.
