CEO Simon Borrows invests £7m in 3i shares
Newly-appointed 3i chief executive Simon Borrows has bought four million shares in the company, worth slightly less than £7m, according to reports.
The £6.88m purchase was made in three instalments.
Borrows' investment comes just weeks after he stepped out of his role as chief investment officer and into the helm, taking over from Michael Queen. Borrows' predecessor announced his decision to leave the firm amidst rumours that the firm was winding down UK operations.
The chief executives's recent investment in the company therefore appears to be an endorsement of his faith in its longevity.
