Hertfordshire County Council commits £280m to LGT
LGT Capital Partners has received a £280m mandate for its multi-alternatives offering from the British Hertfordshire County Council.
The investment is directed at LGT's multi-alternatives offering, which includes allocations to hedge funds, commodities, insurance-linked securities, real estate, private equity and others. This new product was launched to accommodate pension funds' difficulties in accessing alternative investment options.
The mandate from the Hertfordshire County Council is the largest investment LGT has received to date from a UK local authority pension fund.
