
Sovereign appoints Bergvall as investment manager

Sovereign Capital has appointed former Duke Street deal originator Monica Bergvall as an investment manager in its direct origination team.
In her new role at Sovereign, Bergvall will work alongside the other six members of the direct origination team to research market opportunities, potential acquisitions and management candidates.
Bergvall will focus mainly on the healthcare and business services sectors, where she has built up expertise during her four-year stint as deal originator at Duke Street.
Prior to Duke Street she worked within deal origination and sponsor coverage at PwC Corporate Finance in London. She has also held positions at healthcare companies Gambro and SCA.
Sovereign is a UK-based private equity buy-and-build specialist. The firm completed 19 bolt-ons, roll-outs and platform acquisitions in the healthcare and business services sectors during the past 12 months, including Comfort Call and ISS Healthcare.
