Palatine hires Andy Lees as partner

Palatine Private Equity has added to its investment team with the appointment of ex-Barclays executive Andy Lees as partner.
Lees joins the firm from Barclays, where he led the corporate team across the north west of England.
Having worked at Ernst & Young, Aberdeen Murray Johnstone Private Equity (AMJPE) and Barclays Ventures, Lees has more than 20 years' experience in corporate finance, banking and private equity.
While at AMJPE, Lees worked on several transactions including the £15m MBO of Plaxton Coaches from Mayflower Corporate in 2004; the £16m buy-in management buyout of aerospace engineering firm Brookhouse Holdings, which brought in 4x money for AMJPE when sold for £43m in 2008; and the £39m SBO of retail property services provider Styles & Wood in 2004, which floated two years later.
