
Balderton appoints Waterhouse as general partner

Balderton Capital has appointed Daniel Waterhouse, a former partner at Wellington Partners, as a general partner in its London office.
Waterhouse's responsibilities at the venture capital firm will include working on early-stage investments in the software and internet sectors.
For the last five years, Waterhouse had been working at Wellington Partners, leading investments in 11 companies as well as taking board seats.
Prior to this, he worked at 3i as a partner across a range of venture and private equity deals in North America and Europe.
From 1999 onwards, Waterhouse worked at Yahoo!, where his responsibilities included M&A and strategic development in Europe.
Overall, Waterhouse has worked within the technology and internet sector in Europe for the past 14 years, being involved in investments in start-up companies such as Hailo, YPlan, SumAll, EyeEm and Qype.
