LDC chief Darryl Eales steps down

LDC chief executive officer Darryl Eales will step down on May 1, after 11 years at the helm.
The change of leadership is part of the firm's succession plan, according to LDC, with Eales having been with the business for 28 years, including 11 as CEO.
Deputy CEO Chris Hurley and CIO Martin Draper will lead the firm as co-heads and chief executives.
Eales will remain involved with LDC in a part-time advisory chairman role. He will retain his seats on various portfolio company boards.
The former CEO was appointed chairman of E2Exchange (formerly London Entrepreneurial Exchange) last year. A chartered accountant by background, Eales has worked in private equity for more than 20 years.

Recent transactions include the management buyout of London-based telecommunications firm Connect Communications and the £30m acquisition of Prism UK Medical, a specialist mobility equipment manufacturer.
